Haramaya University Researcher Wins Competitive Travel Grant to Attend the 47th Mycotoxin Workshop 2026

Dr. Abdi Mohammed, an Associate Professor of Plant Pathology and Vice President for Administration and Development at Haramaya University, won a competitive travel grant for international scientists to participate in the 47th Mycotoxin Workshop 2026 in Berlin, Germany.


During the workshop, Dr. Abdi, delivered a presentation entitled โ€œMycotoxins in Ethiopian Food Systems: Current Burden and Emerging Biotechnology as a Solutionโ€ and presented a poster titled โ€œMycotoxin Contamination in Peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L.) at the Post-Harvest Stage in Eastern Ethiopia.โ€
