It is recalled that the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, in collaboration with the Vice-President for Community Engagement and Enterprises Development, has conducted training for secondary school teachers working in Bate and Haramaya High Schools.

A total of 81 teachers have participated in the four days training and received certificate of participation. It was part of the outreach programs which linked the University with the community particularly in the education area.

The training focused on Instructional Leadership, Inclusive Education, Behavior Management and Teaching Methodology. The secondary school teachers were grouped into three groups and four senior staff of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences who specialized in each area have facilitated the training.

During the last session of the training, all the trainees and facilitators met with the Vice-President for Community Engagement and Enterprises Development and the Dean of the College and discussed about the strengths and improvements to be made in such kinds of trainings and the future opportunities ahead of us.
