Virtual summer school training was conducted by the Ethiopian Physics Society in North America (EPSNA) from August 14-18, 2023.

The training was provided for six universities, including Haramaya, Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar, Hawassa, and Mekelle Universities. It was the third time that EPSNA had organized a virtual summer school program in Ethiopia.

More than 26 trainees from Haramaya, Oda Bultum, Dire Dawa, Jigjiga, and Kebridehar Universities attended at Haramaya University.

During the training, topics on applied physics, physics education, and mathematics research were presented, and discussions were held. This training provided an opportunity for trainees from different universities to share their experiences.

Dr. Getachew Abebe, the Dean of HU’s College of Natural and Computational Sciences, expressed his appreciation for the EPSNA Virtual Summer School and thanked the trainers, organizers, and leaders of EPSNA for creating an opportunity for young scholars and students to gain knowledge and experience in their fields of study.
