Leadership and Communication skills training was provided to forty one female leaders and staff at Haramaya University by the Women, Children and Youth Affairs Directorate, at Resource center on December 1 and 2, 2021.
According to Kedija Abdulkadir, the University’s Women, Children and Youth Affairs Directorate Director, the University is working to enhance women’s communicative and leadership skills and that is why it was intended to give the training. The director added that the directorate will continue to provide similar trainings for female staff to empower them for positions and to fulfill their responsibility at various levels.
Mrs. Messeret Assefa, lecturer at the University’s College of Business and Economics and one of the trainers, said that the training of self-confidence, leadership and communication skills will help the trainees to be successful in their careers and to build a leadership skill for their future life.
Participants of the training requested that the training should be continued as it improves their leadership and communication skills.
Lastly the trainees received a certificate for their successful accomplishment of the training.
