Haramaya University’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Directorate staff members took two rounds of training in the Main Campus.
The first phase of the training took place from June 2- 11, 2014, where as the second round was conducted from June 19- 28, 2014.

According to Adamu Mekonnen, coordinator of the event, the main focus of the training is to build the capacity of the ICT staff, who are drawn from the Main Campus as well as Harar and Chiro campuses there by satisfying the ICT demand of the University’s community. The training also focused on network expansion, according to the organizers.
25 ICT Directorate staff members took part in the two rounds of training which was delivered by two ICT experts who came from Jimma University, which is praised by many observers in its efficient utilization of ICT.

HU Online was able to understand that the budget of the training was covered by Haramaya University’s Office of the Vice President for Research Affairs.
