Horizon Europe Info Day & Grant Writing Workshop at Haramaya University (HU)

EURAXESS Africa and the European Union Delegation to the African Union, in collaboration with Haramaya University (HU), will co-host a full-day onsite event at Haramaya University, Haramaya, Ethiopia, on 23 June 2025.

The European Union Delegation to the African Union will discuss EU-AU cooperation and partnerships. Dr. Laurent Bochereau, Minister-Counselor for STI at the EU Delegation, will present the recently launched “Horizon Europe – Africa Initiative III,” highlighting collaborative funding and networking opportunities. This session, scheduled for June 23 from 9:00 to 16:00, will also cover mobility and career development opportunities for studying and conducting research in Europe through the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and European Research Council (ERC) grants.

Moreover, in the afternoon, there will be a practical session on navigating the EURAXESS platform and EU Funding & Tender Portal. This session will also cover other support mechanisms available through EURAXESS Africa for researchers and institutions in Africa.

Esteemed researchers, professors, university administrators, and other institution leaders, as well as anyone interested in EU-Africa collaboration in science, technology, and innovation, are cordially invited to participate in this informative event.
