Haramaya University Software Gains Copyright Registration from Ethiopian Authority
Two innovative digital systems developed by Haramaya University staff have received copyright registration from the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Authority (EIPA), marking a key milestone in the university’s push for innovation and digital transformation.

Haramaya University Grant Management System and Haramaya University Research Finance Management System are the pioneering tools now protected under copyright.

According to Mrs. Kidesena Sebsebe, Director of the university’s Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation Directorate, these systems streamline research administration, boost financial transparency, and enhance overall efficiency in the university’s research ecosystem.

The Directorate congratulated the dedicated developers and the entire Haramaya University community on this achievement. “This success underscores our commitment to fostering innovation, advancing technological solutions, and driving institutional excellence,” Mrs. Kidesena added.
Haramaya University continues to position itself as a hub for research excellence and technology-driven progress in Ethiopia and beyond.
