Haramaya University Haramaya University Women, Children and Youth Affair Directorate in collaboration with the Office of Vice President for Academic Affairs organized a welcoming ceremony for newly assigned female students of the 2013 E.C. academic year on July 23, 2021 at Afran Kallo Hall.

The Directorate also awarded certificates of appreciation for 10 top ranking senior female students.

During the occasion, HU’s female instructor’s shared their experiences to the new students.

Professor Mengistu Urge, Vice President for Academic Affairs, conveyed a message to the newly enrolled students to learn from the experience of senior top scoring students.
He advised the students to strive for attaining success during their stay at Haramaya University.
Professor Mengistu also shared his experience with the students and said the University would provide the necessary support for them to achieve their dreams.

W/ro Emebet Belete, Haramaya University Director of Women, Children and Youth Affair Directorate, on her part advised the female students during their university stay should strive to be fruitful both academically and socially.
She added that the female students must focus on their purpose for which they came and they should live together in tolerance and respect to be successful in their education.
The University also promised to support female students in many regards so that they can achieve better academic performance.
