Haramaya University and Sheger Institute of Technology Sign Strategic MoU
Haramaya University (HU) and Sheger Institute of Technology (SIT) have officially signed a strategic MoU to strengthen collaboration in education, research, innovation, and community development.
This partnership supports national efforts in digital transformation, scientific research, technology transfer, and human capital development through joint research, student exchange, and community-focused initiatives
At the event founder of the Sheger Institute of Technology (SIT), Dr. Berhanu Bulcha highlighted the power of partnerships in advancing Ethiopia’s development goals, especially through youth empowerment, student mobility, and collaborative research that prepares the next generation of scientists and engineers.
The President of Haramaya University, Dr. Jemal Yousuf, reaffirmed HU’s strong legacy of impactful partnerships. He emphasized that this agreement will strengthen digital governance, expand student exchange programs, and leverage SIT’s international network to co-develop research solutions for critical community challenges.
This MoU opens new doors for enhanced teaching and learning, improved e-governance, and the solicitation of joint projects that reinforce the role of both institutions in Ethiopia’s socio-economic transformation.
