Haramaya University (HU) has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on forming partnership with Kumoh National Institution of Technology, Republic of South Korea, on February 03, 2015 in a ceremony held at HU Main Campus.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Girma Amente, president of HU, and Dr. Yeungshik Kim, resident of Kumoh National Institution of Technology.

During the occasion, the presidents indicated that the main goal of the partnership is to establish academic and research relationship between the two organizations. In addition, the linkage would promote direct cooperation and communication.

It was also indicated that the cooperation between the institutions will focus on area of common interest and will cover exchange of faculty members and researchers, exchange of students, and co-operation in academic projects.

The co-operation is also expected include areas such as exchange of publications and teaching materials, co-operation in academic projects and giving of academic activities and publicizing of research remits.

During the signing ceremony of the MOU, college deans, department and school heads as well as other invited guests were present.
