Haramaya University Showcases Global Potential at the 10th International Faculty Development Program in India
The 10th international faculty development program was conducted from June 29 to July 10. 2026 at Chandigarh University (CU), Punjab state, India.

The conference brings together more than 130 experts from more than 40 countries to share experience in different areas of science. Chandigarh University, which was established in 2012, has a global ranking of 575 (the QS World University Ranking 2026) and a regional ranking of 109 (the QS Asia University Rankings).

Based on the invitation by the management of Chandigarh University, Dr. Yesihak Yusuf, Vice President for Research and Community Engagement, has presented five papers, including a presentation on an overview of Haramaya University – Opportunities for future collaborations.

Dr. Yesihak and the management of Chandigarh University have identified some areas of collaboration between the two universities that will be a base for future partnership between the two universities. Furthermore, in his stay at the Chandigarh University, Dr. Yesihak has shared lot of experience from the prominent young private university, CU, that can serve as an input to HU in its journey toward autonomy.
