Background
Haramaya University protection, security and intelligence Directorate in the process of building institutional transformation in a new way is working to implement structural organization by receiving and accepting the mission of giving assured and secured protection and security which are derived from institutional strategic plan.
Protection and Security Services Directorate of the university creates a peaceful learning environment and a general safe education environment to achieve the missions of learning, teaching; research and social services.
In order to enable the security and protection directorate to realize the mission of providing reliable protection and security services, the directorate designs the annual work plan and the quarterly plan based on the strategic plans of the university.
Based on the mission of the university, it is believed that it should be supported by reliable protection and security services in order to achieve the vision and values that have been designed and to ensure the reality of the guiding principles. We are working hard to provide fast and quality service by increasing the accessibility of the services, and is working to fulfil the mission to achieve the vision of the university by organizing the security forces in the veterinary campus, as well as in the Harar campus, Tony Farm Centre and Gende-Mude staff residences.
To meet new manpower needs through training and by increasing the ability of security personnel to carry out their missions, and by reducing the number of unqualified personnel in cooperation with the Directorate of Human Resources Management; and improving; by equipping offices with material facilities, making preparations for crime prevention, and making the work environment comfortable.
