The program is taught in English and is a four-year program. Graduates of the Food Science and Postharvest Technology program will possess comprehensive expertise in food processing, preservation, safety, quality assurance, and postharvest handling. They will be prepared to consult and advise on product development, regulatory standards, and community development initiatives, while actively engaging in research, food system monitoring, and education. The program fosters both technical and soft skills including entrepreneurship, communication, teamwork, and management enabling graduates to ethically and effectively address food system challenges and contribute to national development. Anyone who has passed the Ethiopian national examination can attend the program.
