Background
The Department of Adult Education and Community Development, was established in 2013. When it was established, it has one undergraduate program, namely, Adult Education and Community Development. Also, the department hosted Master of Arts (MA) in Adult Education and Lifelong Learning, Curriculum Studies with three streams (Curriculum and Instruction, Curriculum and Quality Assurance, Curriculum Evaluation and Research), and one PhD program in Education (Stream, Curriculum Studies). Now the department have 2 PhD program PhD in Adult and Non-formal Education and PhD in Education (Curriculum Studies) and also there is 4 MA program namely MA in Adult and lifelong Learning, MA in Adult Education and Community Development, MA in curriculum and Instruction and MA in Curriculum and Quality assurance. The department has total of 19 academic staffs from those 2 Associate Professor, 4 Assistant Professor, 11 Lecturer, 2 Graduate assistance and 2 administration staffs. In addition to the above the department has also been involved in conducting cutting edge research and provision of pertinent short-term training to nearby community
