Erer Guda Camel Research Station

Background

Erer Guda Camel Research Station is located in Babile district of eastern Hararge zone of Oromia region, Eastern Ethiopia. The station located on the main road to Babile town and is 40 km far away from the main campus. It was established in 1986 to track camel milk and health changes and has a vision to become a center of excellence in camel research in Ethiopia. Geographically, the station is situated at 9o14’15.5’’ N latitude and 42o15’41.7’’ E longitude and at altitude of 1316 meter above sea level. The research station has a total of 5 permanent workers to facilitates the research activities.
