Role of the Directorate (DRGP)

The Director for Research Groups and Partnerships owns the core process of formulating and identifying the university's research thematic areas, while structuring and preparing execution programs for institutional research undertakings.

Major Responsibilities

Ensures that all university-sponsored staff and student research falls under one of the university's six identified thematic areas.

Coordinates research group activities established within thematic areas and facilitates work through horizontal networking.

Facilitates the establishment of partnerships between research groups and key national and international stakeholders.

Facilitates formal agreements and linkages with professional entities based on recommendations from research groups and stakeholders.

Organizes and executes national and international workshops focused on the university's research thematic areas.
