1. PhD. in Medical Microbiology
1.1 Applicants’ requirements
- Graduates from a recognized University with a Masters degree in Medical Microbiology, Clinical Microbiology, Immunology, Tropical and Infectious Diseases, BioMedical Sciences related to Medical Microbiology
- The applicant must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 and above at MSc graduation
- The applicant must submit a letter of sponsorship or secured fund for Private applicants
- The applicant must submit a minimum of two recommendation letters from his/her previous supervisor/instructor (s) during MSc study.
- The applicant must submit a research synopsis not more than 5 (five) pages
- The applicant must meet all of the admission requirements of the Haramaya University as per Article 100, sub article 100.1 and sub article 100.2 .
1.2 Selection Criteria
- The selection criteria will be based on the requirements of Haramaya University.
- Medical Microbiology or Clinical Microbiology work experience (20%)
- Research synopsis presentation (20%)
- Interview (15%)
- Relevant publications on Medical Microbiology (30%)
- CGPA (15%)
- Additional selection criteria will be set by the DGC as per Article 100, sub article 100.2.1.4. of the HU senate legislation.
