1. PhD In Public Health
Admission criteria
A candidate must fulfil the following conditions to join the doctoral program in public health:
- Must have an Master degree or equivalent (M.Sc/MPH/masters with thesis in related field or MPH/masters without thesis plus one published articles);
- must have a good research plan and funding (or promissory letter for funding) for the research; and
- Must identify qualified primary advisor (a PhD holder or university rank of Associate professor and above) before admission into the program.
2. Doctor of Public Health
Admission criteria
A candidate must fulfil the following conditions to join the doctor of public health:
- Candidates must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Public health or equivalent (M.Sc./ Master with a thesis in health-related fields or master without thesis plus one published article as first or corresponding author, or medical doctors with specialty certificate of any type). Non-MPH applicant who didn’t take Epidemiology and Biostatistics are required to audit these courses with MPH students.
- Candidates must have a minimum of two and above years of service experience in healthcare system after a recent postgraduate degree.
- Candidates must be available full-time for formal training, fieldwork, and related healthcare activities as required.
- Candidates must submit a written synopsis/ concept note.
- Confirmation of availability of fund or sponsorship for the required research and project work
- Candidates must pass the screening evaluation which considers synopsis presentation, previous academic performance including MPH/MSc thesis defense result, publication, and interview
- The maximum number of candidates depends on the intake capacity of the school
