6. Other Research Activities

As one of the mandates of Haramaya University is research, I was involved in several graduate and undergraduate research activities alone and with other colleagues in Haramaya University and other institutions. Some of these researches were funded by the university, while others were funded by Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research.

  1. Short Term Training Activities

I. I have participated as a trainee on a training given by Hawassa University on Pedagogy.

II. I have participated as a trainer on training for Senior Meat Inspectors conducted for six months by Alage ATVET College.

III. I have successfully completed and received, Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education Teaching, from Haramaya University.

  1. Consultancy
  • Study on the current competence and practical skill gap: the implication of curriculum and delivery along with the training need assessment for animal health professionals and paraprofessionals in Ethiopia. This was done for Ethiopian Veterinary Association. (The consultancy also included three draft training manuals for clinical, laboratory and surgical procedures.)
