STEM Outreach Programs

The College of Natural and Computational Sciences initiated the program in 2012/13 (2005 E.C). The College in collaboration with the Office of Vice President for Community Engagement and Enterprise Development offers the following STEM outreach services.

  • Laboratory training to high school science teachers
  • Development of laboratories at high schools
  • Mathematics Olympiad
  • Summer outreach service to high school students
  • School tutorial service

The program encompasses high schools in eastern and western Hararghe Zones as well as Harari region. The summer outreach service to high school students focuses on practical training in science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Mathematics, ICT and English. Moreover it was meant to encourage cultural exchange while embracing diversity.
