- For Bachelor students, having a minimum 50<\/strong>Grade Point Average out of 4.00<\/strong><\/li>\n
- The minimum foreign language proficiency level is B2<\/strong>(Intermediate). *<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Having at least 30 ECTS<\/strong>(European Credit Transfer System) or equivalent study load per semester (Students who have not fulfilled the requirements for graduation yet).<\/li>\n
- Period of the mobility: All the study mobilities are obligated to be realized in the Fall Term or Spring term of the 2025-2026 Academic Year from 15 September 2025. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
* Students can count the results of the English exam they have taken before, or the results of the foreign language exam (<\/em>TOEFL IBT, Pearson<\/em><\/strong>). <\/em><\/p>\nErasmus Grade<\/strong><\/p>\nErasmus Grade is used as an instrument by IKU to evaluate and rank the applicants. Please see below how the Erasmus Grade is calculated:<\/p>\n \n- Erasmus Grade = English Exam (to be converted to hundredths and 50% is taken<\/em>) + GPA at home university (to be converted to hundredths<\/em>and 50% is taken<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility 2025-2026 Spring Term applications and criteria<\/strong>\u00a0used to evaluate the following are given below:<\/p>\n\n- If the participant has any physical disabilities, a document that proves the disability (In English or in the original language with an English document from the sending university confirming the genuineness): +10 points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\u00a0Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\nThe selection of students – as well as the procedure for awarding them a grant – must be fair, transparent, coherent, and documented, and shall be made available to all parties involved in the selection process.<\/p>\n Selections are carried out by ranking the points from the highest to the lowest, taking into account the evaluation criteria and weighted scores announced by Haramaya University <\/strong>among the students who fulfill the minimum requirements. The selection criteria should be fair, transparent and objectively applicable to all potential beneficiaries.<\/p>\nHow to Apply?<\/strong><\/p>\nTo be accepted as an exchange student at IKU, Haramaya University students are required to complete and provide us with the following documents in English:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- The online application is free of charge. The link to be used for filling in the application is the one provided to Haramaya University. It is to be filled in by the person assigned by the Office of Scientific Director, Haramaya Institute of Technology, Haramaya University.<\/em><\/li>\n
- Transcript of Records (It must be issued in English and confirmed by the Haramaya University Registrar)<\/em><\/li>\n
- Passport<\/li>\n
- Language Certificate (If you do not have an international certificate, get a score\/grades of English courses from the Haramaya University Registrar)<\/em><\/li>\n

* A Motivation Letter and CV are not included within the scoring criteria. If there are applications with equal scores, the motivation letter and CV can be taken into consideration.<\/em><\/p>\nApplication Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Applications are made through the Istanbul K\u00fclt\u00fcr University website on the dates specified in the academic calendar.<\/li>\n
- Applicants should fill up the required information and upload the relevant documents to the system (to be filled in by the person assigned by the Office of Scientific Director, Haramaya Institute of Technology, Haramaya University)<\/em>.<\/li>\n
- Application documents must be in Turkish or English.<\/li>\n
- Any application with missing or forged documents\/information will not be evaluated.<\/li>\n
- Each applicant is eligible to make only one application<\/li>\n
- In order for your application to be valid, you must press the Complete Application Button. Otherwise, your application will not be considered.<\/li>\n

Grant Payments<\/strong><\/p>\nIKU will be responsible for signing the grant agreement with the participant (incoming student) and thereafter transferring grants to the selected students.<\/p>\n \n- Nominated students will receive a grant of EUR 800<\/strong>per month for 5 months<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0during the period of study mobility (total amount is 4000 Euros<\/strong>).<\/li>\n
- Travel support (round-trip ticket) is also provided for students. The amount of the travel grant must be calculated using the “Distance Calculator”. The distance calculator is accessible from the following link:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Students who do not have a grant contract are not paid a grant. 70% of the student’s total grant payment is transferred to the Euro account after the student arrives at our university. In order for Erasmus exchange students to receive their remaining grants (30%), they must have passed at least 2\/3 of the courses stated in their learning agreements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
