IKU will administer all grant payments for mobility to Europe (&#8220;incoming&#8221;) and from Europe (&#8220;outgoing&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Haramaya University<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>is responsible for collecting applications of the prospective exchange students and providing them with all necessary support, including pre-departure preparation, monitoring during mobility, and formally recognizing the mobility period. The receiving institution (IKU) offers students a study programme at the university and allocates grants for students qualified to be an exchange student at IKU.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Departments and Quotas<\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"525\"><strong>Department \/ Unit <\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"293\"><strong>Language<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"154\"><strong>Quota<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"525\">\u25aa\u00a0Civil Engineering<\/p>\n<p>\u25aa\u00a0Computer Engineering<\/p>\n<p>\u25aa\u00a0Electric-Electronic Engineering<\/p>\n<p>\u25aa\u00a0Industrial Engineering<\/td>\n<td width=\"293\">English<\/td>\n<td width=\"154\">2<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Application Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Being a full-time student enrolled in a program at the Haramaya University, pursuing an undergraduate degree<\/li>\n<li>For Bachelor students, having a minimum <strong>50<\/strong>Grade Point Average out of <strong>4.00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The minimum foreign language proficiency level is <strong>B2<\/strong>(Intermediate). <strong>*<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Having at least <strong>30 ECTS<\/strong>(European Credit Transfer System) or equivalent study load per semester (Students who have not fulfilled the requirements for graduation yet).<\/li>\n<li>Period of the mobility: All the study mobilities are obligated to be realized in the Fall Term or Spring term of the <strong>2025-2026 Academic Year from 15 September 2025. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>* Students can count the results of the English exam they have taken before, or the results of the foreign language exam (<\/em><strong><em>TOEFL IBT, Pearson<\/em><\/strong><em>). <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Erasmus Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Erasmus Grade is used as an instrument by IKU to evaluate and rank the applicants. Please see below how the Erasmus Grade is calculated:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Erasmus Grade = English Exam (<em>to be converted to hundredths and 50% is taken<\/em>) + GPA at home university (<em>to be converted to hundredths<\/em><em>and 50% is taken<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility 2025-2026 Spring Term applications and <strong>criteria<\/strong>\u00a0used to evaluate the following are given below:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>If the participant has any physical disabilities, a document that proves the disability (In English or in the original language with an English document from the sending university confirming the genuineness): +10 points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<strong>Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The selection of students &#8211; as well as the procedure for awarding them a grant &#8211; must be fair, transparent, coherent, and documented, and shall be made available to all parties involved in the selection process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Selections are carried out by ranking the points from the highest to the lowest, taking into account the evaluation criteria and weighted scores announced by <strong>Haramaya University <\/strong>among the students who fulfill the minimum requirements. The selection criteria should be fair, transparent and objectively applicable to all potential beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How to Apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>To be accepted as an exchange student at IKU, Haramaya University students are required to complete and provide us with the following documents in English:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The online application is free of charge. The link to be used for filling in the application is the one provided to Haramaya University. <em>It is to be filled in by the person assigned by the Office of Scientific Director, Haramaya Institute of Technology, Haramaya University.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Transcript of Records <em>(It must be issued in English and confirmed by the Haramaya University Registrar)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Passport<\/li>\n<li>Language Certificate <em>(If you do not have an international certificate, get a score\/grades of English courses from the Haramaya University Registrar)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Motivation Letter*<\/li>\n<li>Europass CV*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>* A Motivation Letter and CV are not included within the scoring criteria. If there are applications with equal scores, the motivation letter and CV can be taken into consideration.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Applications are made through the Istanbul K\u00fclt\u00fcr University website on the dates specified in the academic calendar.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants should fill up the required information and upload the relevant documents to the system <em>(to be filled in by the person assigned by the Office of Scientific Director, Haramaya Institute of Technology, Haramaya University)<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Application documents must be in Turkish or English.<\/li>\n<li>Any application with missing or forged documents\/information will not be evaluated.<\/li>\n<li>Each applicant is eligible to make only one application<\/li>\n<li>In order for your application to be valid, you must press the Complete Application Button. Otherwise, your application will not be considered.<\/li>\n<li>All applications should be submitted to the <em>office of Scientific Director, Haramaya Institute of Technology, Haramaya University <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Grant Payments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">IKU will be responsible for signing the grant agreement with the participant (incoming student) and thereafter transferring grants to the selected students.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Nominated students will receive a grant of <strong>EUR 800<\/strong>per month for <strong><u>5 months<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0during the period of study mobility (total amount is <strong>4000 Euros<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>Travel support (round-trip ticket) is also provided for students. The amount of the travel grant must be calculated using the &#8220;Distance Calculator&#8221;. Students who do not have a grant contract are not paid a grant. 70% of the student&#8217;s total grant payment is transferred to the Euro account after the student arrives at our university.
