As per the policy\u2019s roadmap, freshman students are required to begin their University stay with a two semesters (one academic year) freshman program taking courses that prepare them for study at undergraduate level.Haramaya University management responded to this change by establishing the directorate that manages and administers academic affairs of freshman students. Currently, the directorate is constituted of a director, two associate directors, three coordinators, registrar head, quality assurance and academic enhancement experts and other supportive staffs.<\/p>\t\t\n\t<h3>\n\t\t\t\t\tMission\n\t\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<p>Preparing freshman students with the necessary competency that enables them to continue their study at undergraduate level.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\n\t<h3>\n\t\t\t\t\tVision\n\t\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<p>The freshman program directorate sets it vision in a way that enables it to decisively contribute to the fulfilment of Haramaya University\u2019s vision of striving to be one of the leading African Universities with international reputation by 2025.
