Admission Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nTo be admitted to the program, the department needs students who:\n<ul>\n<li>Would successfully complete the Secondary School program;<\/li>\n<li>Have fitting result in the Higher Education Entrance Examination;<\/li>\n<li>Have good a command of Afan Oromo;<\/li>\n<li>Have an interest in studying the Oromo language and culture in general;<\/li>\n<li>Could suit the general admission requirements of the University.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>2.Graduation Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nThe graduates must fulfil the following requirements:\n<ul>\n<li>A cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00.<\/li>\n<li>A major GPA of 2.00<\/li>\n<li>Completion of 112CrHr\/ 182 ECTS of major area courses and 35 CrHr\/ 61 ECTS of freshman courses which accounts the total of 147 CrHr \/243 ECTS.<\/li>\n<li>A senior essay write-up as a partial fulfilment for the requirement of BA degree.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum\u00a0<strong>\u2018C\u2019\u00a0<\/strong>grade in senior essay (SRP) and CBTP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>3. Degree Nomenclature<\/strong><br \/>\nThe degree for graduates of the department shall be named as: \u201cDigrii Baachilarii Aartii Afaan Oromoo, Ogumaafi Qunnamtiin\u201d in Afaan Oromoo which has an equivalent meaning with &#8220;Bachelor of Arts Degree in Afaan Oromoo, Literature and Communication&#8221; in English and \u201c\u12e8\u12a0\u122d\u1275 \u1263\u127d\u1208\u122d \u12f2\u130d\u122a \u1260\u12a0\u134b\u1295 \u12a6\u122e\u121e\u1363\u1235\u1290\u133d\u1211\u134d\u1293 \u1235\u1290\u1270\u130d\u1263\u1266\u1275\u201d in Amharic.\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
