Admission Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nTo be eligible for admission to the program, a candidate must:\n<ul>\n<li>Graduate with bachelor degree from recognized institutions in gender and development studies, sociology, social anthropology, law, rural development, management, economics, cooperative, agricultural sciences and other related fields.<\/li>\n<li>Meet the minimum requirement for admission to the post-graduate program by earning a Bachelor\u2019s Degree (B.A\/B.Sc.) in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 2.0.<\/li>\n<li>A passing score on the program entrance exam set by the department<\/li>\n<li>Placement, within the University into the programs shall be on a competitive basis;<\/li>\n<li>Both sexes shall be considered for admission; no gender differentiation; positive affirmative action towards female applicants will be honored;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nCandidates fulfilling the program entry requirements will be selected for admission on the basis of merit.<br \/>\n<strong>2. Graduation Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nA candidate to be awarded a Master of Art Degree in Gender and Development Studies must: take\u00a0<strong>36 credit hours<\/strong>\u00a0of course including a thesis in a full time or continuing education enrolment.\u00a0 He\/ She must also have:\n<ul>\n<li>A pass mark in each of the required courses (not D or F);<\/li>\n<li>Cumulative GPA of \u2265 3.00;<\/li>\n<li>Pass in his\/her MA thesis defense; and<\/li>\n<li>Undergraduate courses or credits will not be transferred towards post-graduate course work.<\/li>\n<li>A thesis is required in a partial fulfilment for the MA degree in Gender and Development Studies. Directions for the preparation of the thesis are according to the post-graduate guidelines of the university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
