The Department of Statistics was established in the year 2008\/09 academic year, organized under the Collage of Computing and Informatics. With the objectives of providing statistical trainings, research and consultancy services, it is one of the fast growing departments of the university. The department now has two programs: the BSc degree undergraduate program in Statistics and the post-graduate program in Econometrics. The Department of Statistics aims at promoting statistical education in Ethiopia.<\/p>\n
