College of Social Sciences and Humanities Awards Top Scorer Students

College of Social Sciences and Humanities of Haramaya University have discussed on the challenges and progress of cooperative team and module team. A power point presentation was given on benefits and challenges of Cooperative learning. After having power points presentation, students and staff have discussed the progress of cooperative learning team in each department and school in the college. Each department head has presented the progress of the cooperative learning and module team. From, the discussion it is pointed out those students is happy to work together though there are challenges from the staff.

During the occasion Professor Chemeda Fininssa VP for Academic Affairs, said on the ceremony Cooperation learning is working together to accomplish shared goals.  Within cooperative situations, individuals seek outcomes that are beneficial to themselves and beneficial to all other group members. Accordingly, cooperative learning is the instructional use of small groups so that students work together to maximize their own and each other’s learning.

After having discussion, the CSSH has awarded top scoring students from various departments in a ceremony held on April 28, 2015 at the Main Campus in Auditorium hall.

The Award & teachers-students discussion was organized and presented by College of Social Sciences and Humanities of Haramaya University. The event was attended by senior instructors, teachers and staff from all departments of the CSSH.
