Programs of the School of Pharmacy

There are two programs run under the school. The first program is a regular undergraduate bachelor degree in pharmacy which is harmonized. And the second is the generic extension program of the bachelor degree of pharmacy at Harar and Dire Dawa Centers.

Student enrolment and graduation statuses

So far more than 211 pharmacists had graduated from the school. Currently, there are 239 students in the school studying regular program of pharmacy and 152 students studying evening classes both at Harar and Dire Dawa centers. The total numbers of students who are active to study pharmacy are, therefore, about 391 students. The regular students’ enrollment trend over the past Ethiopian fiscal years starting from the school’s launch were 50 students (2000 E.C), 70 students (2001 E.C), 65 students (2002 E.C), 40 students (2003 E.C), 40 students (2004 E.C), 35 students (2005 E.C), 50 students (2006 E.C), 50 students (2007 E.C), 56 students (2008 E.C) and 70 students (2009 E.C). Similarly, the enrollments to evening classes were 50 students each at Harar and Dire Dawa centre (2005 E.C), 50 students at Dire Dawa (2006 E.C), 50 students at Dire Dawa (2007 E.C),  30 students at Harar and 35 students at Dire Dawa (2008 E.C).
